Dearest "R"

10th February' 2014... I still the memories from this day as if it was just yesterday.

I knew you are coming right from midnight- as being a second-time mom, I knew what my body was telling me. Around 6AM in the morning is when we decided to call your grandparents as for some weird reasons, doctors come to our mind later 😁.

So, around 7 AM- we called up the doctor and I was in the labour room by 8AM- and you were with us by 10.30 !! What a breeze....ain't it ? NOPE - not a breeze at all.... but don't worry, I ll save you the embarrassment of dwelling into details just this one time.. being me, I cant guarantee such things you know !

And even though it wasn't a breeze, you were just the face of an angel🥰🥰.

So sweet, so adorable- I fall short of words to describe your angelic face. Yeah- I get it, I am your mom- but I never knew that random people would want to click pictures with you- that's how adorable you were, and I couldn't take my eyes off you ❤😘

Another entry missed !

Moments before you would be with us, your grandmother called your mamu to bring your best-friend to welcome you.... right- am talking about your Big brother "K"

Your mamu, not wanting to be late and in a rush, brought "K" without his jacket- and mind you, this was cold winter morning of Feb in North India.

Looking at him, and fearing that "K" might catch a cold- your papa ran home to fetch a jacket for him, trusting that there is still some time and he'll be back to capture the precious moments.

But you being you- couldn't wait and tricked the poor fellow at the very first entry, and by the time he came back (I guess it was just a quick 10-min runaway) , you were in my arms🥰

History repeats itself!

This papa-mamu fiddle that started with "K"'s birth, continues for you as well. Till date- your mamu isn't ready to agree that it was his fault, and that he just wasn't aware of how he should have handled a 4-year old in the winter, but papa .... well, you know him 😉. Honestly , cant blame him either- he missed a very important event and he deserves to be a little pissed 🤷‍♀️. And let me tell you a trade-secret here- you know who you should agree with when they debate- NO ONE, because they are just alike- and the third person probably comes out looking like a fool while trying to get in the middle.

But all this is a part of game- and I had such a precious little gift in front of me that I think i kind of surpassed this conversation 🤣...

I am saving a very funny yet exciting story of your "Arrival" for a later post ! That is one story I dont think I should keep to myself- everyone deserves a good laugh you know 😁, so wait for that one to come.
